Wed, 30 September 2009 You need a professional to handle all your introductions at your wedding reception. All your music sets need to be all complete and ready to play. I always sit down with my brides and go over all the music and introductions. No event is ever perfect but we try to get as close as we can. A good entertainer will always keep you events flowing smoothly and the music going. Be sure to ask your wedding entertainer "what if" questions. There will always be at least one change of plans at every event. Comments[2]
Tue, 22 September 2009 Are there some news songs that will become classics at weddings? There is so much new music on the internet that you can select for your grand entrance, first dance and other formal events. This your chance to be creative and have fun with all your special dances. Your wedding DJ can always help you select some new or classic music during your planning process.Comments[2]
Thu, 10 September 2009 Have you ever thought about what would happen if your wedding entertainment company had a breakdown with some of the equipment? You never know when this will happen. The key is to ask your entertainer about what type of back up gear he will bring to your event. All the professional entertainers I know and recommend have at least two full sets of equipment for every job. We are in a digital age where all the gear we use today is very small and easy to carry around and switch to in case of a breakdown. Always verify that the DJ you select for your event will have access to this extra gear if needed. Comments[2]
Thu, 3 September 2009 When choosing your wedding location, have you given a thought about the distance it is from your home town? You may have found a great place to say I do but will your family say we will drive two hours away. Some older adults and grandparents will not be able to drive that far or even at night. The best thing is to know your own family and friends and make arrangements for your guest who are unable to drive very far. Every hotel that host wedding receptions should be able to give you a group discount. Always ask when you are booking a event. Comments[2]
Mon, 31 August 2009 Now that thousands of brides are using the web to help them search for all their wedding needs, is there more to learn about the internet? Two years ago it was blogs podcast and RSS feeds. Did brides really take the time to understand it? I have had my wedding podcast since 2006. Brides and Grooms are just thinking about using blogs and podcast and them...........wham!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here come facebook!!!!!!! information, pictures and audio right in one place. Tons of brides have found me and listen to my show right on Facebook. Should we forget about RSS feeds and blogs? Not so fast. Facebook maybe the flavor of the year but who knows how long it will last. Your best bet is just to realize where the information on Facebook is coming from. Is it a blog or a podcast? is it just a news article? Maybe just some information from a friend. Just fallow the link and see if there is another way to get the information about what your interested in. Search in google for wedding podcast or wedding DJ podcast or DJ podcast to find where these links are going. If you see any great results under wedding podcast, let me know. now? Will they walk down the isle together? Are they walking down or
being introduced with their new spouse? Come listen to the show so we
can talk about these special events.

Sun, 23 August 2009 As I mentioned on the last podcast, Tommy's Burgers has a shack on wheels that can feed your wedding guest. This would be perfect for that beach or home wedding. It offers a big change from the In-N-Out truck. The shack on wheels serves it's world famous fries!! I would think they could bring tons of napkins to stop the chili from spilling on your wedding dress. How about this for the rehearsal dinner. We all love Tommy's, so add to your list of things to consider. Category: general -- posted at: 5:11 PM Comments[2]

Thu, 20 August 2009 Has the internet changed the way you shop for your wedding entertainment? Do you search in google or facebook? How about Crieg's list? Do these places work? How much can you tell about your wedding entertainer by just texting or going back and forth with email. These are great places to start your search, but if you really want to get to know your entertainer you should give him a call or set up a appointment. I think maybe brides and grooms are just to busy to meet and interview DJ'S. That's a big mistake. You can learn so much during your interview with him. You can even see his personality and tell if he is a good fit for you and your guest. These are just some of the things that you can't see online. Spend some time with us and listen to the show. We are still the only weekly wedding entertainment podcast in the nation.Comments[0]
Sun, 16 August 2009 On today's show we spoke with Michael of Michael C Events. I met Michael at a wedding event mixer in Northridge ca. I was expecting some small little fingers foods with a little chip and dip on the side. Boy was I wrong about I was going to eat. The food was sample size, but it was some of the best food I have ever tasted! This is definitely not your standard wedding food that always is served at these type of events. This is your one chance to make a great meal stand out. If you want to have a great meal at your event, give Michael C Events a try.David Comments[0]
Sun, 2 August 2009 Since it was Sunday, I thought I would bring something up that most brides don't know. If your future husband is a big football fan, be aware this year's big game is February 7th 2110. I know this is a Sunday, but this will be on the weekend of your honeymoon if you get married on the 6th. Now remember this is just the "big" game. Four weeks before that date there are the playoffs. Those dates are not even posted on NFL.com yet. That's a really a big deal for the not so big fan who likes any kind of sports. The fun of it all will suck them into these games. Some of these games are played on Saturday and Sunday back to back!!!!!! I just thought you should know before you pick your wedding date.Remember, we are the only weekly wedding DJ podcast in US. Scroll down the page and listen to a few shows and have some fun. Category: general -- posted at: 2:32 PM Comments[0]
Sat, 1 August 2009 I have done many special dances for grand entrances to announce the bride and groom. They always seem to be accepted and fun for all your guest. How about this trip down the isle at your church? Would your family approve? How about your grandparents? It's your wedding day and you have a choice but will it seem right at your church? Watch the video and let's talk about it next weeks show. Feel free to drop me a email with your thoughts. Category: Dances -- posted at: 11:21 AM Comments[0]
Thu, 30 July 2009 We spoke with Jeff Roy of visioneer studios about what's going on in the video world. So much has changed in just a few years. Will you be watching your video on your ipod? Will you get your master tapes from the video company? Do your really need to have your wedding shot in HD. Sun, 19 July 2009 Still thinking of having your wedding at your home? How about if you could find a place that was already set up for a wedding? There are tons of advantages to having a wedding at a house. If the house is professionally decorated, you don't even have to add anything at all. The home could have a pool and a gazebo for your wedding guest. On the downside, will there be enough bathrooms and handicap access for older adults. Come and listen to the show and here all the good and bad of a home weddingDont forget to visit this months show sponsor Silver Charm Events for your wedding planing need. Thu, 9 July 2009 Let's finish and close the door on Michael Jackson. We had some events that Martin played that totally turned into a tribute to M.J. His other event that was a wedding used a normal song set with a few tunes from the one glove wonder. All weddings have different song sets that the bride and groom request when they meet with their entertainer. Your DJ will use your songs and mix them into some of his tried and true sets that really get your guest going. This is our one goal. To make sure all your guest have a great time.Be sure to listen to the show and hear some new music for your wedding. We are still the only weekly wedding entertainment podcast in the US for brides and grooms to hear your wedding entertainment ideas. Thu, 2 July 2009 Will your wedding turn into a Michael Jackson party? What if you don't even like his music. Will you get pressure from your guest to play his music? Remember, this is your wedding but you want your family and guest to have a good time. Let your wedding DJ handle this on your wedding day. He will take care of your guest and play just the right amount of MJ's music. Just let the night flow and all will be fine.I finally got to attend a wedding and didn't have to work. I had a great time and danced with my family. The whole reception was great and all the events where done perfectly. If your dj has speakers on stands or hung in the air, you loose all the bass and the music is not strong enough on the dance floor. You want to feel the bass when your dancing and it sounds so much better. You wedding MC should not be up in the DJ booth away from the dance floor. Your entertainer should be right next to the dance floor so he can be very interactive with the guest. I felt I need to keep the tempo up on the dance floor so I ended up leading the chicken dance. The guest loved it and I always enjoy entertaining at a wedding. I couldn't help myself. don't forget to visit our sponsor. www.silvercharmevents.com

Thu, 7 May 2009 I saw a DJ at an event last week. The music was perfect for the guest who came to say goodbye to the guest of honor. There was just a few things that were not up to par. I know the person was probably not a pro and doing this as a favor for the family. Still there always things that need to be done right and are not acceptable at a wedding at even at the free price. Come and listen to the show as we cover a few things. Comments[0]
